Misc Looking for a rifle rec.

Trying to figure out an unrestricted rifle to slap a Pinty smiley scope onto and build a cheapish fungun. Anyone have ideas?
I'm basically planning to paint it up like some kind of cracked-out cyberpunk themed gun. I was considering a Kriss Vector after I was shocked to find it on the unrestricted list some time ago, but I'm still fairly new to firearms and just want some good tactical meme guns that are fun to shoot.

If you’re ok with “space cowboy”, the Marlin Dark Series has a certain appeal

a little TOO space-cowboy for what I have in mind, but might be cool for a future build.
