Misc Looking for a rifle rec.
Trying to figure out an unrestricted rifle to slap a Pinty smiley scope onto and build a cheapish fungun. Anyone have ideas?
I'm basically planning to paint it up like some kind of cracked-out cyberpunk themed gun. I was considering a Kriss Vector after I was shocked to find it on the unrestricted list some time ago, but I'm still fairly new to firearms and just want some good tactical meme guns that are fun to shoot.

you can either clap out a turkshit .22 ,a MRA rifle, or go space cowboy. thats pretty much all thats left.

For now lol, I saw someone posted a link to Natalies twitter and she was talking about "new hybrid versions of assault rifles coming into Canada", so its on their radar already. Really hoping im wrong though.

Kriss vectors are prohibited now, pretty much everything is. Only viable semi-autos left are Ruger 10/22’s and SKS’s. That said, get an SKS before they ban those too. There are some cool chassis’ out there for them.

I assumed you meant rifle calibre until I saw rimfire. There are plenty of semi-autos out there. I have a nice new PCC semi auto thats centre fire that was one of the most popular guns to come along in years. Dude is looking for new guy advice and youre giving him misinformation.

Maybe take a look at the savage 64f precision with the mdt stock and the 20rd mag on it. I picked one up for just under 350$ this winter at bass pro. Not the best gun I own but runs great is pretty accurate and looks cool.

Not a bad price there, I'll have to check locally, haven't seen that gun before but it looks very nice.

Did some research and I think I'm going to save up for an Adler RF224. Reviews of it are mostly fantastic and it definitely has the look I'm going for, even if it's a bit more expensive than I was hoping for. I'll have to post it here when I eventually get it done.

You might want to check your list, the Kriss and most other semi-autos got banned in 2024. .22 rifles are most of what's left.
