Buy recommendations Henry Homesteader Aluminum Handguard Manufacturers?

Post image

Got this email reply from Midwest this morning.. super disappointed.

The Tommy Enterprises parts seem to be questionable quality, and no one else seems to make an aluminum MLOK or tactical handguard for the Homesteader. RPP makes handguard for everything but the HH. Anyone have insights into companies looking into making their own version, or am I missing an available brand?

I am currently making one. I'm trying to figure out how to offer it for a good price, it's very expensive to just straight up CNC one. This is what it will look like

Also making an aluminum buffer tube + AR15 grip adapter, pic rail and "heat shield". The heat shield is attached to the pic rail and is intended to be used with the standard wood HG+buttstock to look similar to the old Ithaca shotguns

Do you have timelines on any of those? I was looking at getting the Tommy Enterprises ar15 buffer/grip adaptor for now anyways while I consider the handguard options.

Still in the prototyping phase, probably available mid June. I'm making it because people keep telling me their TE ones keep breaking and they want a metal one lmao

TE is your best salesman

Oh you'll absolutely have a waitlist man. I was looking up painting and adding rails to wood stocks to put tactical lipstick on that pig..lol.

How is it coming along? My handguard just had a small peice break off. Love this gun with the upgrades, its a lot more comfortable to shoot. Just looking for the furniture to be more durable!

At least it looks cool! Production going slower than I'd like, maybe another 3 weeks or so. Slow and steady wins the race 😛

Just message me payment details when they are ready. I want the adapter and handguard. Thanks!

The TE grip adapter is way too flimsy if you're actually firing the gun on a regular basis. I wouldn't recommend getting it.

Think you could bend me up a 40mm OD hex out of 2mm thick aluminum? I have a dumb idea for my Taipan since SCSA won’t ship me parts and North Sylva won’t stock em.

Probably about 14” long section.

I’m interested in one of these when you make them available!! I have the TE handguard and I’m worried it’ll break eventually.

Hows this project coming along? Was about to order one but then found out the Midwest handguards have been discontinued, VERY curious about yours though.

Haven't gotten to see the finished product yet, the stamping mould just got finished. But here is the model:

Those bottom mlok slots, are they on the muzzle end or reciever side? Would be great to be able to attach an AFG or something along those lines. Looks great though. I know ill be getting one haha

Muzzle end, there's only two on the bottom and lower sides because past that point you cannot attach any MLOK devices, it's where the action guide rails and spring are.

I mean you CAN, attach stuff but you've got like 2mm of wiggle room for your screws, it's just very unsafe.
