nice to see the wildcat there, a bit more interesting than the ubiquitous 10/22. How's it shoot for you?

It shoots great for me but I maintain my shit like my life depends on it. But I also work them hard. See comment below.

if I had any need for another 22 semi, it'd probably be the Wildcat. And in general, I say that you dont get to complain about reliability and accuracy if you dont have a decent cleaning routine. You don't need to be absolutely anal about it, but you definitely need to decrust it every brick or so; we're not barbarians.

Also, I find that the more accurate a 22 is, the more it needs a good cleaning regimen. If it's all loose and sloppy, sure, it'll be reliable like a kalashnikov. Accurate like one, too.

I have a buckmark carbine, which is very accurate. But after a 2-brick day of shooting gophers in a dusty field somewhere, reliability noticeably starts to suffer by the end of the day. Still outshoots a 10/22 though :p

Ruger rotary mags are no problem in those? I have a friend who has a 10/22, and his Winchester rotary mags run well, but jam upon release

I have not had any mag issues and use the wildcat mags exclusively. I do also clean the mags every few 100 rds to keep them in good shape. Carbon does build up on the feed lips and tops pretty bad from the variety of ammo I run through.
