nice to see the wildcat there, a bit more interesting than the ubiquitous 10/22. How's it shoot for you?

It shoots great for me but I maintain my shit like my life depends on it. But I also work them hard. See comment below.Â

if I had any need for another 22 semi, it'd probably be the Wildcat. And in general, I say that you dont get to complain about reliability and accuracy if you dont have a decent cleaning routine. You don't need to be absolutely anal about it, but you definitely need to decrust it every brick or so; we're not barbarians.
Also, I find that the more accurate a 22 is, the more it needs a good cleaning regimen. If it's all loose and sloppy, sure, it'll be reliable like a kalashnikov. Accurate like one, too.
I have a buckmark carbine, which is very accurate. But after a 2-brick day of shooting gophers in a dusty field somewhere, reliability noticeably starts to suffer by the end of the day. Still outshoots a 10/22 though :p

Ruger rotary mags are no problem in those? I have a friend who has a 10/22, and his Winchester rotary mags run well, but jam upon release

I have not had any mag issues and use the wildcat mags exclusively. I do also clean the mags every few 100 rds to keep them in good shape. Carbon does build up on the feed lips and tops pretty bad from the variety of ammo I run through.Â

Theyâre pretty decent for the price, lots of guys on here love to shit on 6.5 and Ruger in general but overall a good rifle. If youâve to hike in anywhere you hunt, at sub 8lbs with an optic on theyâre a fabulous rifle. Big fan of mine

I can pack it nice and tight on the side of my "big boy bag" and it doesnt snag on anything. It also is good out to any distanc3 I would hunt plus about 200 yards(likley further).Â

would you trade the wood panzer stock for a legit Benelli pistol grip? solid stock, not the collapsible

I like how the wood balances the gun. I also am not a fan of pistol grip shotguns. This has the right flair of being tactical but also feeling traditionalÂ

I hated the Lever gun in my course. I would only get one to say i have it but would barley use it.

that's fair. Don't let anyone tell you what you 'have to' buy. Form your own preferences and opinions, or you'll end up with a 10/22, maverick 88, and an SKS wondering why you're not having any fun. Get whatever floats your boat

Lol right? All my guns have a purpose in my life. I spent years hauling one around because I was told to. Now I get to pick. Although I would love to add a C6 to the line up now that will never happen Â

Should look into the old marlin levermatic guns, super short throw mag fed lever guns that are super fun and reliable

I have never been an SKS fan. I find the 6.5 cover all my big boy rifle wants and needs. If I want to go semi auto and have stopping power... add slugs to the Panzer and what ever it hits is having a very very bad day.Â

I have about 1500 rds through the wildcat. I took it down as far as I could upon purchase and gave it a good cleaning/lube. It also gets cleaned everywhere range trip. It has had maybe 5 fail to elects but that was due to shitty ammo that I was running.
The panzer is new to me but one of my buddies has one and has ran easily 600 rds through it with zero maintenance out of the box. I took mine down when I got it and also cha ged the o rings. I have about 60 rds through now with 250ish manual bolt cycles as I read it needs some wear in. I have had 1 fail to extract due to a lighter target load vs my regular full power buck.

People are fuddy as hell. Everyone hates new things or things they don't have.
I'm looking at getting a panzer, I've had good luck with Turkish guns. As long as your clean and lube them, they work like a charm.
I'm glad your having fun! Don't mind the people with not better than criticism

Maybe I have a horseshoe stuck up my butt i have yet to have issues. I also find that about 60% of people I come across who need to warranty any firearm should not be allowed anything beyond a BB gun.Â
I have seen some really unnecessary abuse of firearms in the name of "I am just seeing if its relable". Tell me the last time someone needed to fire 500+ shotgun rounds or 300 .22lr rounds in succession and had a valid reason. to me thats like putting your car and park and bouncing off the rev limiter to see how good the engine is.Â
