Personally,  I'd be buying a 22lr rifle for cheap trigger practice

Then? Geez man you have expensive taste. How are you affording these?

I'd skip the Ruger bolty, and instead get a Tikka 6.5 creedmoor for a grand less.

As for the KSG, I'd probably rather do the KS7 for 700 bucks. Lots of money saved, still plenty of capacity and simpler design while still being a cool bullpup pump shotgun.

Though, I'd likely go with the Makasi and skip the BacklandHunter. The Makasi has an Frt with the RCMP, so banning it requires more work from the government. The Backland hunter could be banned from any RCMP getting a hold of it and deciding it was prohibited. If you needed a cheaper option, I'd honestly just grab a Turkish 223 for cheaper. They actually have been in use longer as they be been used in Australia for a decent amount of time.  Or just get an sks for a vintage classic look.

Mapleridge straight pull, I'm not against. It's probably the cheapest and best way to get a modern looking gun with a short barrel. Any reason for 300 blackout over other calibers?  223 is going to be cheaper. 7.62 x39 is going to be cheaper. 300 blackout is sadly barely cheaper than cheap 308 ammo.

The Canuck has good warrantee here in Canada, though folks will not often like that its made in Turkey. I think it's alright. The company is good, the warranty is good and if it has a problem, they  will take care of you.

As far as dropping 10k on guns? I wouldn't do that. I space it out. But if you are rolling in money, I won't stop you. Just stay within your means and don't be going into debt for funs. Economy is rough out there.

Didn't the liberals change the rules and make it so the rcmp can alter the frt anytime they want now? And since they can drop a oic whenever they want i dont feel the Makasi is that much safer than the backwards hunters in terms of future prohibition.

Perhaps, though I feel there is still something. To change it might be a bit of a pride thing. Why change it now when you gave it a non restricted entry  earlier? Did you make a mistake?

The pride of that might slow them to do it. Might not of course, they might not care
