Milsurps / Prohib Looking for advice from milsurp guys
A local pawn shop has a heavily sporterized Kar 98 for 575$ and I've wanted a Kar 98 my whole life but even sporterized I never find them and when I do find complete original ones they're like 2k$ not talking about other variants but German made ww2 Mausers do you guys think that's a fair price?

You could either do as others have suggested, save some money and then buy the real deal or you could get a Yugoslavian M48 while you try saving some money, shoot it, sell it and use the money together with what you might have saved it to buy a a German Mauser. M48s are kind of cool too and they have seen wars, if the historical part is what interests you. VZ24s are also some pretty good Mausers.
