Milsurps / Prohib Looking for advice from milsurp guys

A local pawn shop has a heavily sporterized Kar 98 for 575$ and I've wanted a Kar 98 my whole life but even sporterized I never find them and when I do find complete original ones they're like 2k$ not talking about other variants but German made ww2 Mausers do you guys think that's a fair price?

Prices on surplus are higher then before yes, but the trend wont change and in few year today’s prices are cheap. I’ve seen sks go from $99 to now $925 retail, all the pissing and moaning never changes the fact that’s what they sell for. I would recommend saving for the rifle you want.
