I'd imagine there aren't a TON of people voting one way local and the other federal

Probably not, but it doesn’t change the fact those two things don’t overlap while voting in a federal election. He wasn’t choosing his guns vs his healthcare in last Aprils vote

It was an easy target example chosen so that most people could understand because nuance seems completely lost in this conversation these days. 

I was comfortable not voting for Pierre because his entire platform was I'm not going to do what the Liberals did which gives an entirely new collection of options to fuck up.

Personally, as far as I am concerned, the fact that he is still in the party is an indictment of the fact that the conservatives are not as serious political party anymore cuz I wanted a reason to not vote for the Liberals but continually getting absolutely ridiculous options isn't going to cut it
