Misc What are yall doing with your LPVOs
Have a Vortex LPVO and idk what I’m supposed to slap it on now that the gun it was supposed to be for is in timeout

Keep it on your gun, sell it or use it as an excuse for a new gun.
I got lpvo on a Renegade and a TM22.

May I suggest the Scout Rifle category if you want to keep with the "time out" gun's function. A 223 or 308 scout rifle would do well with an LPVO, Tikka CTR in Multicam ? However, if it isn't too "tactical" looking, it's honestly just a hunting scope. I've been shooting 1-x from Swaro for nearly 3 decades, mostly from a European shooting heritage and Sauer/Blaser guns where they have always been the "correct" scopes and worked v well for the East.
Long before the North American market called them LPVOs, they were just classic hunting scopes (at least on European guns) for game where you can expect fast movement (driven game and boar), or, for us here in NA, movement through dense wood where I prefer to see 2-3x the size of the animal as an FOV. Allows me to see the trees/gaps it is walking toward. They are also king at shots that can be 20 yards to 150 yards (my moose last fall was right there when I peaked into the woods, just off trail as I followed the cracking), shot placement benefits from being able to fully see an animal in your FOV. For us in the east, more and more Moose hunting is done walking through dense wood, less and less on open logging sites.
I'm a Moose hunter, in Quebec, my scopes have been Swaro 1-x for 25 years. Big animals in tight woods look like a patch of fur at 3x, and big animals that moves even slowly through woods within 30-50 yards are best followed with a wide FOV. Don't let North American marketing change what the scope can do, they were hunting scopes decades before they were "LPVOs."

I sincerely hope your wait is shorter than expected and the Libs stay distracted. The Makasi will be a test case to see if they lay off of it or have the stomach for more OIC bans while the SCoC is ruminating.

Make yourself a .22 for action shooting (steel challenge and/or post-Liberal 3Gun). And also use it to shoot gophers.

It's on my hunting rifle. I've realized i hunt at short distances so I'll never need 9x and 3x is to much zoom a lot of the time.

I’d just put it on a 22. I also have a 1.5-4 on my 357 henry at the moment.

I'm planning on putting one on my Cz Trail in 7.62 x39. Currently have a red dot on it and want to keep that ability to use it at 1x zoom, but I'd also like to be able to zoom in a bit for shots 100m plus.
If i had a side eject lever action, I'd want it for that too
If i had a 223 semi auto I'd definitely want it for that

I put a 1-8 on my Fix bolt action and a 1-6 on my 1895 lever action, both work well and are fun on those rifles

I’m taking LVPO donations if anyone wants to ship me one for free.
Jokes aside. I find my lvpo bounces around a lot. Any new rifle gets it as its first scope for accuracy testing before I order some good glass. Or it sits on my “tactical” 10/22 build.

Throw it on a shorter-barreled 5.56 or .308 bolt action. Now you have a pseudo scout rifle. It can be a lot of fun.

They work great on lever guns, or like a plinker if it has a rail.
