Gun and gear reviews Misleading Claims

What are some of the misleading claims that you have heard from firearm manufacturers/hunting gear brands and hunting/shooting influencers?

Wondering because I often see ads for hunting rifles or shotguns being overhyped or just in the most unrealistic of situations. Or another example would be MDT's HNT26 chassis (I'm not hating on MDT, yes I have bought products from them) but I find it just unnecessary to pay that much for a chassis to do the same job that a Tikka T3x light or a pencil barrel Mauser would do.

I want to hear your thoughts.

Hnt26 is designed for a very specific market and that market is not guys buying off the shelf tikkas.

Arken was well known for paying reviewers to make positive comments while offering mediocre product. 

Woox did basically the same thing and spent an inordinate about of time spamming ads on social media sites, including reddit. It was so bad that r/longrange had to institute automod for the brand name

Hey that's me I'm the off the shelf tikka hnt26 rifle guy.

Even got a 14" carbon barrel on order.

I even have the arken epl 4-16 x44 on order for it as well.

Am I meme?

I agree with you, sometimes I get down voted in here when I suggest people to buy discovery, vector or Athlon telling them it's better than arken and has a better QC and customer service.

Discovery , arken, dnt all literally come out of the same factory lmfao. Budget glass is just that.

I mean to be fair, athlon offers some pretty high end stuff that is not comparable to those other brands. The cronus is arguably one of the best scopes in its class for the price point.

Woox is nice but overpriced. I bought the combo for my 590 and I love it but I dunno if I would do it again. In hindsight it was a stupid amount of money to spend on a shotgun that isn't worth much more than the stock I bought lol

Their issue was that they were allegedly paying folks to shill their product on socials and every gun sub/group had folks plugging the brand in a really inorganic way. They also had some quality control problems several years back that were IMO totally unacceptable in their price range that their cheerleader squad would gaslight folks over in comments.
