Why do they still keep calling this a buyback program? It’s disingenuous to do so.

Considering they only really budgeted enough money to pay for the known restricted firearms they were taking. There is over 120,000 of those. There should be a saying for when you promise to pay for something, but then don’t pay for it.

This is what I've been saying all along. They don't want compliance. They have no money to pay for 100% compliance. This is the preferred situation for them. They can collect their "buyback" registered guns. Pay that out. Anyone else with restricted who didn't participate will get harshly worded letters and possible PAL non renewals and vilified as being anti government gun toying nutters. Everyone else with previously non restricted will be left alone until you are caught doing something wrong. They will say 67000 guns off the streets is saving trillions of lives.

Also, how in the fuck is the number actually 67 thousand. It's like some sort of meme world we are living in.
