No dude, it's the citizens that are solely to be vilified. The small business owners need to be protected, they were just trying to feed their families.

I'm actually kind of with you here.

Canadians assume Vancouver = BC.  Do they not have any idea how hick as fuck most of the interior and the entire thing is north of Kamloops?  I'd garantee most of these guns are either from businesses or family inheritances.

I personally know of someone who inherited a 300+ single action revolver collection from their grandsther. The RCMP are incredibly aware of that stash.

My limited experience supports this. Going from the AB peace country to northern BC, you wouldn't be able to tell any difference except for the road signs.
