BC disappoints me, but I think the bigger question is as to how the restricted rifles were dispersed among the population, it's very possible that was a non-even distribution. Then again, I have no clue, but I definitely was involved in conversations where people said they were going to submit their restricted firearms.

Anecdotally, i know several folks in southern ON whose only experience with firearms was taking their restricted ARs and handguns to indoor ranges in the GTA. These are the sorts of people who never had any interest in shooting on Crown land and certainly don't live anywhere close to private property in a municipality that allows discharge of firearms. Given the concentration of the population in the province, and not that I agree with the decision to do so, but it doesn't surprise me that there would be a larger proportional # of restricteds declared in ON.

Ya most of the people who turned in there guns seem to be living in big cities where they know they are gonna be first on the chopping block
