Misc Range table damaged

The table all shooters use at my local range spot was flipped over and heavily damaged.Some other folks showed up shortly after me and were just as upset as I was.I know it doesn’t sound like a big deal but somebody built this table for everyone to use and it’s been there for years thankfully it’s currently being repaired but damn this made me mad.

Put trail cameras up and set them to weekends and after hours (presumably during hours it’s already monitored?)

That's actually a great idea. I was pretty furious when my usual spot, I showed up and clearly teens had been partying there, left a bunch of empty shot up beer cans, didn't even bother to clean up the empty ammo boxes. I put up a sign at the entrance saying "'Clean up after" and cleaned up their garbage. 

Don't wanna lose my good shooting spot on crown land, boxed in on 3 sides by cliffs with a big flat area that's perfect for 100yd shooting. I would be furious if access gets cutoff because of drunk teens leaving it at a mess. I really like the trail cam idea

On crown land, if your camera goes missing that’s on you.. on property owned if the camera gets taken it’s theft, likely trespassing etc too. I work with trail cams a lot, they’re nearly impossible to make truly theft proof and very hard to truly hide, just food for thought.

If you buy one, buy one with a steel bear box on it, and get one with a remote transfer plan, this way if someone takes it you have something, if you go off card only and someone steals it well you’ll never know. For wildlife I don’t like remote transmitting cameras, they get picked up by wildlife far more but for people it’s viable

I saw a video the other day of a new trail cam mount, but I can’t remember the company. It was some type of pole system that let you put a mounting bolt like 12-14 feet up a tree and then use the pole to attach the camera to the mount. It looked like a great idea because a person would have to basically cut the tree down. I just wish I could remember what the company was.
