Misc Range table damaged
The table all shooters use at my local range spot was flipped over and heavily damaged.Some other folks showed up shortly after me and were just as upset as I was.I know it doesn’t sound like a big deal but somebody built this table for everyone to use and it’s been there for years thankfully it’s currently being repaired but damn this made me mad.

Why are these dumbasses so determined to get every shooting spot shut down?
If that's around Edmonton I'm willing to come out and help clean up.

This is Kahnawà:ke Reserve No. 14. The area is around the Saint Lawrence Seaway so there’s a bunch of roads and small hills made from the construction. It’s been used as a dump site during the construction and afterwards by various people so there’s a bunch of junk everywhere.

Put trail cameras up and set them to weekends and after hours (presumably during hours it’s already monitored?)

That's actually a great idea. I was pretty furious when my usual spot, I showed up and clearly teens had been partying there, left a bunch of empty shot up beer cans, didn't even bother to clean up the empty ammo boxes. I put up a sign at the entrance saying "'Clean up after" and cleaned up their garbage.
Don't wanna lose my good shooting spot on crown land, boxed in on 3 sides by cliffs with a big flat area that's perfect for 100yd shooting. I would be furious if access gets cutoff because of drunk teens leaving it at a mess. I really like the trail cam idea

On crown land, if your camera goes missing that’s on you.. on property owned if the camera gets taken it’s theft, likely trespassing etc too. I work with trail cams a lot, they’re nearly impossible to make truly theft proof and very hard to truly hide, just food for thought.
If you buy one, buy one with a steel bear box on it, and get one with a remote transfer plan, this way if someone takes it you have something, if you go off card only and someone steals it well you’ll never know. For wildlife I don’t like remote transmitting cameras, they get picked up by wildlife far more but for people it’s viable

I saw a video the other day of a new trail cam mount, but I can’t remember the company. It was some type of pole system that let you put a mounting bolt like 12-14 feet up a tree and then use the pole to attach the camera to the mount. It looked like a great idea because a person would have to basically cut the tree down. I just wish I could remember what the company was.

You would think if you take the logistical effort to bring a piano to shoot it you would haul it back to the municipal ecocentre to be sent to the trash.
Place need a serious cleanup. Shouldn't be too hard to organize.

Fuck I just made a “joke” comment about this sort of thing the other day…but a whole ass piano…I give up, I dunno who raised these people but this is the exact reason I have to keep finding new spots.

This is how i felt when i went back to my shooting spot i go to always and still do i left a big steel target torso size and stand in the woods (was there for a good year and a half 2 years shot to hell few holes thru from stupid big rounds) and some deuce stole it and left the stand itself in the ground got more targets but now bring em home. I do know there were others that came and used my target cause i normally spray painted after i was finished and sometimes i would come back to a few rounds put onto it or 1-2 shotgun spreads i dident mind plus it gave every one that was walking thru the woods something safe to shoot at😆🙏
