Dude. The LPC has been in power for ten years and won't even speak to any of the gun lobby groups. The CCFR or who ever can not change legislation, it can't over turn policy. All it can do is lobby and sue. And it does a much better job at it than any other organization. We wouldn't have gone to the federal court, the court of appeals or the SCC without the CCFR. No matter how little you think of them, that is just the reality, their the only organization doing the work.
All the stuff you want to see happen requires a government that is actually willing to work with affected parties, which the LPC are not. Its not the CCFRs fault.
If there is a viable alternative than I encourage you to support them. But being black pilled and shitting on the CCFR because they can't force a government that hates guns and gun owners to be reasonable is not productive.
Look at how this is going for the LPC. Its taken 6 years to get to this point and its failing spectacularly, and that is at least in part by the work of the CCFR.
What do you want to see them doing? What are your ideas? How would you force the LPC to back down?
I get that its frustrating, but its very bizarre to me that the CCFR is being criticized for not doing enough.
A lot of people seem to have this bizarre black-and-white view that we should support everything the CCFR does or say nothing. Nobody ever seems to consider the possibility that the CCFR could actually, I dunno, accept some of their criticism and improve as an advocacy organization? Wild concept, I know.

Better PR that actually appeals to the public at large, rather than people who are already on their side. Host range days and get members of the public to shoot guns under supervision and sign them up to take the CFSC. Fire Tracey, hire people who actually know how to do PR and advertising. Stop using histrionic, politically charged language. I don't think people inside the CCFR echochamber understand how obnoxious a lot of their content is to normal people.
The CCFR is the PETA of firearm rights organizations. Its messaging has no appeal to anyone who isn't already on their side, and the vast majority of their effort is spent drumming up donations to fund efforts to further drum up more donations, like their tour around the country to visit... gun shops, where they talked to a bunch of people who are already supporters. Like PETA, it's an organization that exists to perpetuate itself, and also like PETA it hasn't actually achieved any noteworthy political goal.
People in this thread and elsewhere basically say some variation of "well they're trying really hard." To which I say "who cares?" I don't give a shit about how hard they try or what their intentions are, I care about how good they are at their job, which by any objective standard is "not very".
After all that rambling, here's my question for you: since you clearly don't think that any progress on firearms rights is possible while the LPC is in charge, why bother donating to the CCFR at all, since their efforts are, in your view, totally hopeless under this government? Why not just donate that money to the CPC instead?

Name one thing. One policy overturned, one change to legislation, anything that actually materially impacts gun owners as a result of the CCFR.
