I'd prefer my membership dollars go towards advocacy and education over paying for social media designs but that's just me.

If you can't afford the exorbitant cost of... taking a photo of a guy holding a sign, then just don't post anything. AI slop is worse than useless because it makes you look less credible.

I simply think that being this triggered by AI images being used instead of stock photos is a weird principle.

Since you apparently call any negative reaction to something "triggered", have you considered working for the CCFR's PR team? There are still a few million more Canadians we haven't yet alienated!

The irony is that you are exactly as divisive as you accuse CCFR as being.

I get it, you have a bone to pick with CCFR and I certainly don't think they are close to perfect, but this is a bizarre and pedantic line of attack in my view.

People react more negatively to AI generated advertisements than real ones and Canadians are overwhelmingly uncomfortable with the use of generative AI in a political context.

It doesn't really matter if you or I care about AI pictures being used, the public cares, and a political advocacy organization that doesn't take into account public perceptions is a shitty political advocacy organization.

Also I don't think you know what "pedantic" means.

Its 2026, the government is trying to confiscate our property and the r/Canadaguns hivemind is blowing a gasket over an AI generated image used on Twitter.

Pedantic: giving too much attention to formal rules or small details.

I like where you didn't even try to dispute my point about the CCFR being a shitty political advocacy organization.

The fact that the government is trying to confiscate our property is precisely why I want the CCFR to do a better job.
