Application / Regulation advice Norinco 7.62x39 red box accuracy?

Good day, what has been others experience with this ammo and it's accuracy out of an sks? My experience has been poor with an average group of about 4 inches at 50 meters. I can have 2 rounds next to each other , then the third 4 inches away. Flyers are quite common as well. Not sure if it's the ammo or rifle. (French tickler).

I got flak on here before for saying this, but please please check your SKS after shooting this stuff.

I didn't because "its non-corrosive". The whole gas system was rusted up. Never once shot anything else but that from it. I suspect not entirely 100% have the non-corrosive primers.

I've had this happen too. I shot quite a few boxes of 23 stamped ammo (so made in 2023), never had an issue for a couple hundred rounds, and then one of the last times I took it out, as usually, shot a couple boxes and then put the SKS away when I got home. Took it out a few weeks later to clean it and found rust all through the barrel, gas tube, bolt

90% I find it's not corrosive, the Chinese like to throw in the odd corrosive rounds just to fuck with us.

The more recent stuff I've bought has been 2025 stamped, and so far, it has been non corrosive, but I still don't trust it.

I ended up buying a CZ600 in x39 so I could burn up my big stash of red box and spam cans without having to deal with cleaning a gas system everytime

Indeed it is corrosive
