Gun and gear reviews Is this a good pickup?

Post image

I recently got my pal and I’m looking at a ton of options. I came across this and it looks amazing along with the price. Does any have it or have additional information on it

I've only bought 1 turk rifle before (tm22 pro) and got lucky that it wasn't a dud right out of the box.

There's a reason no one reccomends Turkish rifles, they have a notorious reputation of being a huge POS. Or it works flawlessly.

If you're buying turk, expect it not to function, anticipate having to send it in for warranty which could take up to 5 months, or it could get rejected. And be thrilled when that's not the case.

In the chance you get lucky and don't have to deal with that, you'll probably have a fun rifle that didn't break the bank.

But for shotguns, no way I'd risk it just to save a hundred bucks. My safety is worth more to me than that haha

There's a few things you gotta tweak, but if it isn't a dud, its a blast. At least mine has been the few times ive used it so far. Not very ammo picky either.

Some people reccomend removing the left extractor if you find youre having extraction issues, and everyone reccomends installing a new plumbing washer (rubber washer) and a shim behind it (between the rubber and buffer tube face) to replace the flimsy lightweight pad that it comes with.

The buffer tube tends to shred the rubber buffer pad, which allows the bolt to over travel and sheer off the charging handle. The heavier duty rubber and metal shim fixes this. This is almost mandatory. Lots of info on YouTube about it.

Clean the thing like crazy before taking it out the first time, and give it a good oiling.

I havnt had mine for long so I can't give you any concrete user reviews. But there's a lot of information on these things since they're so popular now.

Mine was annoying as hell and I ended up selling it. Always had issues feeding and jamming.

That being said a have a Cannuck lever action and it's been great. It's just very hit or miss with the Turkish guns and it sucks getting a lemon.
