Gun and gear reviews Is this a good pickup?

I recently got my pal and I’m looking at a ton of options. I came across this and it looks amazing along with the price. Does any have it or have additional information on it

Stick with Mossberg, Winchester, Benelli

I’ve heard of Mossberg I’ll look into it. Not sure why Turkish is so bad tho

It’s not quite that simple:

There are plenty of perfectly good Turkish guns. Caniks for instance are typically solid in the handgun market. Many reputable companies have even contracted out their manufacturing, particularly of shotguns and handguns, to Turkish firms.

Tactical-styled shotguns from Turkish companies however have become very common in the last while, and they typically are made very cheaply, with very poor quality control standards and virtually no after-purchase support. They sell only on price, and there’s a reason they’re so much cheaper than comparable guns from reputable companies. If that’s what you can spend, get even a used Mossberg or Benelli pump action. It will absolutely be a better gun.

« But a semiauto is cooler / more fun! » Constantly clearing malfunctions or struggling to find replacement parts for a poorly made one is not.

EDIT: I just reread the listing and realized it appears to be a pump gun instead of a semi. I stand by everything above however, and I certainly wouldn’t trust a pump action by these no-name Turkish companies that much more. Still way better off buying something else that is known to be decent quality, even if it’s more expensive or used.

iirc james reeves tested a more expensive turkish pump action and it still sucked compared to a Mav 88
