You’d think that your PM with his background in banking would recognize that this buyback is an astronomical waste of taxpayer dollars. But I guess damn the budget when you can totally screw over Canadian gun owners.

I highly doubt that this PM, like most Liberal PM's are worried about wasting tax payer dollars. The man appears to think he is so above such trivial issues that it genuinely feels we are just a piggy bank for insiders for both the party and their appointees and his little boys club to get far richer from their numerous investments. I would not be the least bit surprised if his net worth shot up a few million dollars in the last year since he took the throne.

Honestly just to keep himself in power and the cabinet together, he will go along with this stupid plan unless it really derails. Jesus even the CBC is exposing fraud and incompetence in different levels of the Federal Gov. Unfortunately we have such a lack of accountability that these people who cause and add to the ever expanding list of problems this Country won't face any consequences and get parachuted up into even more important roles. Its a fucking clown show in that caucus every damn day and yet we (as a country) still elect the same brain dead morons into office.

The only difference is this Gov. has learned to be far more sinister and doesn't give two shits what it does anymore so long as they stay in power.

watching Michael ma defend China today in committee it seems obvious, Censorship and disarmament is the goal. most media outlets are softening the tone on China, while getting more extreme on the US

This still baffles me. Carney has cancelled programs that have a lot more popular support than the confiscation. Like, are the numbers really that bad that Carney doesn't think he'd make up any lost Quebec seats in other provinces? If that is the case than the Liberals must believe that they've permenantly lost a large subset of voters over this singular issue.
