Does anyone else starting to get the sneaking suspicion that this entire buyback scheme is a $1 billion dollar embezzlement plan to get tax payer funds into their friends hands? The website cost over 1 million to make and is barely functional. They’ve spent 800 million plus and haven’t even collected guns yet. They spent 22 million on the retailer portion and apparently have if them weren’t even paid.

Yall think they’ll back out last minute only because they got their fill of the billion? 👀

Just a thought.

If only it were incompetence and not the deliberate reality we're all facing. I truly wish it was because they're a bunch of dumbasses, because the alternative...the reality is far darker.

This is not a boondoggle. It is 100% by design.

None of the so called failed policies of the last 10 years were incompetence. That is too naive. There’s a reason they kept these policies in place for so long. Whether it be unchecked immigration, the TFW program, LMIAs, fraudulent international students, the gun buyback, bail reform, printing boatloads of money, etc. These policies were put into place for specific reasons by rich lobbyists. On the surface they seemed good but they are a better example of how the road to hell is paved with good intentions. These policies were specifically put into place to destroy the spending power of the middle class, suppress wages, attempt to consolidate power via monopolizing violence, and stay in power by importing votes. All while, the big banks, loblaws, and telecom giants got even richer and called anybody who obliged a racist.

Nowadays, the average boomer thinks things will get better because that is what the media tells them and Carney appears like he’s doing good, but I guarantee that he will reverse course in a year or two and do exactly what the Trudeau government was doing and worse considering all the MPs are the same. Never ever trust a central banker.
