News / Politics / Activism Anyone writing to their Premiere?

The CCFR suggested people write to their Premiere to speak out against the gun grab and to encourage them to do what Manitoba has done.

CCFR has templates for email or snail mail letter. I thought a snail mail letter may be taken more seriously by the Premiere’s office since letters take more effort than an email.

But the template letter they posted follows the typical written letter format. ie your name and address listed at the top of the page.

As soon as I saw that, it made me not want to write a letter for fear that anyone who speaks against the gun grab and puts their name and address to it, can be used to create an unofficial registry.

Does anyone else have similar concerns? I feel slightly paranoid about this but then again, how can one not be paranoid when you look at the way the govt has treated its citizens.

I’m considering sending a letter but not including my address and possibly using a pseudonym. There’s a chance they won’t take it seriously without name and address but that’s beyond my control. All I can do is write a letter or not.

Interested in others’ opinions.

My premiere is Eby, I think that sums it up. Not a single reply from this waste of space. Even the other parties reply to emails.

The NDP (both BCNDP and federal, which are the same anyway) is literally the only party that has never responded to any of my e-mails (for any issue/question, not just firearms).

Conservatives? Yep

Liberals? Yep

Greens? Yep

People's Party? Yep

NDP? Radio silence.

Greens actually responded to me saying while they are anti firearms, they do not support OIC and how this ban happened. They sadly went downhill after this by saying firearms are the major cause of injury and death in domestic disputes. I would love to know where they got this inaccuracy from.
