Buy recommendations With the coming supreme court decision, I'm thinking about pistols.

Years ago, my license was up for renewal. While waiting for my renewal, my license expired. It only took 9 months, lol.

Unfortunately during that time, the OIC happened, and I missed out on all the cool pistol sales.

What with not being able to buy anything since then, I haven't really given attention to the world of new things. I understand we're on the glock Gen 6 now? Used to have a Gen 4. Loved it.

Maybe the supreme court bails us out, all this nonsense goes away and we can go shopping again. So what's new in the world of pistol? I have hope that sometime soon I'll be able to buy something, what should I be putting money aside for?

Anything a with a 10 or less capacity, I hate knowing I'm wasting space with pinned mags.

I’ll never understand who they didn’t go the grandfathering route with the rifles. It would’ve been the politically safe option.

They got in bed with the devil. Poly helped them win Montreal but they threaten to pull that support everytime they try and anything but confiscation. Grandfathering was the initial plan like pistols but Poly wouldn't have it.

The Liberals could’ve told Poly to go kick rocks, and they still would’ve won. When's the last time Montreal didn’t vote for the Liberals?

You're not taking crazy pills, you just need more context. It's dirty all the way down.

Because to be frank, it was never about public safety. By buddying up with Poly, they get to act like they're doing things to make the public safe.

No one is shooting up downtown toronto with a WK180 but most folks don't know that, they hear that the Liberals are supporting Poly and they go "yeah that was a bad tragedy" and Poly gets to enjoy the limelight (and all their funding). Look how fast Tumbler Ridge and Oka got memory holed, it just doesn't fit their narrative.

In reality, it's to maintain the wedge issue which DOES win votes (think of all the people who see a "X wants ARs on the streets ad" and they eat that shit up). It plays directly to their base AND it lets them avoid the actual problems, it creates the illusion of public safety.

If they actually targeted the smuggling hotspots, dealt harshly with people on repeat bail with illegally smuggled handguns from the US, that would take WAY more effort and money than the buyback and the reality is, it would become a non-partisan issue which we know they cant have that.

Here's the other fun fact, they CAN NOT back down, if they do, they'd be saying they spent billions vilifying the wrong group, that infact the firearms they targeted have nothing to do with crime and that they've done nothing towards actual public safety. See the rub?

Poly isn't having any influence. They are useful idiots, making an excuse for the Liberals to implement policy they want to implement to begin with but wouldn't be popular enough to do so.
