He did specify this was 2 years of shotguns... who the hell knows what else he has been stowing away for those 2 years?

No he didn't.

He said 2 years of SHOOTGUNS. Now I've never heard the term shootgun before but since a reliable and functional gun needs to shoot something I choose to think it means a gun that's still functioning. /s
