It would be interesting to see per capita of PAL holders how many firearms are reported by province.

Damn, go Ontario.

By capita, Quebec is impressive!

Ontario, was estimated to have roughly 16 million people in 2024. This means 4300 pal per 100k. Quebec had roughly 9 million people. This means 5500 pal per 100k. As much as people say Quebec is anti-gun, it is a very very loud minority. If you leave the big cities (Montreal and Quebec), there are quite a lot of guns in Quebec!

Because almost half the countries population is in 1 province? Lol

Gets even more depressing when you look at just the GTHA area: about half of Ontario's population and just under 18% of the entire population of Canada.

10% is in one city. Toronto

Go Quebec actually. Quebec has less reported guns per capita.

Gat damn NB, proud of ya. I guess the gun owners around these parts rightfully understand this place is basically the wild west with little to no RCMP presence haha

Clearly there are more gun nuts in Ontario and Quebec than Alberta. Do better Alberta. How are you supposed to be "Texas of the North" with those numbers?

4

u/stereo_cabbage Mar 20 '26

Jeez the east side is gunned up lol I’m kinda proud
