I'd also be interested in a headcount, instead of only counting firearms. How many people have actually gone through with a declaration? Again, comparing that to PAL holders.
Exactly this. The number of firearms doesn't interest me. I would've preferred that none were declared but here we are. I would like to know how many PAL holders did declare out of the total number of PAL holders. Such a waste of time and money, I'd care less about the budget deficit if it was actually put towards helpful things (the border perhaps?). I suppose the numbers don't really tell us anything important though because we all know that none of the declared firearms are getting turned in by criminals to help make Canada safer.
It’s gotta be much lower if they’re sticking to “number of firearms declared” versus “number of participants” especially non-businesses that had to sell/rid of useless inventory
