According to Calibre Magazine looking at Treasury Board documents,, the Liberals have apparently cut the money available for compensation in their "buyback" from $250 million to $64.8 million, with no notice to current or future participants.

We tried to to tell everyone their guns would be seized and they'd get nothing.....

I’m honestly trying to figure out what the end game is here? Try to steal as many guns as possible without paying anyone and then hope all these people who have the means to be armed don’t get angry? Like how does this work without serious blow back

That's my thinking partially as well. They really have walked an awkward line on the matter. And to a degree that will ultimately piss off both sides in end. Wasting a billion dollars, stealing from and or incriminating literally a million plus Canadians.

With Carney being praised as a fiscal genius, and Canadas savior. Surely, with enough bad publicity this buyback fiasco could easily go down as his biggest political and financial failure.

Now you’re thinking like a liberal ! It’s perfect ! Everyone will comply or they are a criminal, they pay zero and score political points with a small minority in Quebec and if you don’t comply your the one in trouble who gets there life ruined by “the law”
