You know, the LPC could do the funniest thing...

1)After March 31st, declare the buyback a resounding success and jerk themselves off over how many 'assault rifles' they collected. Suspend collection

2) "We are now turning our attention to modernizing firearm regulation for licensed, trained and trusted owners. Our approach will be based on a firearm's fitness for purpose and not just on it's name."

3) Crib the CPC's simplified system, call it something else

4) Pass it with unanimous support from the CPC and most of his own party

Because they simply don’t want people owning guns. Probably for nefarious reasons 

It’s obviously no longer for political gain anymore, as is widely speculated.

This. Combine it with their obsession with censorship. Sprinkled with grumblings of public grocery stores and ubi. I see a pattern. Oh and dont forget the complete absence of accountability.

Exactly. They want a nation of toothless brainwashed slaves. Im sure theyll get it. Canada is the perfect host for this postmodern authoritarian pilot project
