Those are the only conditions under which I'd give him a full W on this.

Call your MPP. I called mine today. I said it’s great why Dougie is saying but if he won’t back it up with legislation like Alberta and Saskatchewan to make this “buyback” harder for the libs it’s doesn’t mean much.

Best he can do is exempt himself and his buddies from FOIA requests, take it or leave it!

The Firearms Act and the Criminal Code are pieces of federal legislation. All firearms laws fall under the Federal government.

Individual provinces cannot override that, unfortunately, unless we completely change the way our judiciary functions. But i think it might be about time for that.

Look into what Saskatchewan is doing first

And that's what sgould happen. The only way to permanently put Alberta separatism to bed is to drastically increase provincial autonomy over things like this, along with immigration and such.

And concealed carry privileges. Whatever training a cop needs to do it, I should be able to do also.

There's only so much a Premier can do as the Code and Firearms Act are federal jurisdiction; but a token would be nice

Exactly - he can literally copy them, and coming from the largest province would carry a lot more political sway
