Milsurps / Prohib M1 Garand Thoughts

I would really like to get another M1 Garand ( had one in the 90s I had to let go, for $350). I know that no one can predict the future here but what are the odds it ends up on the list?

Good longterm investment from what people are saying.

$3,500 for a decent one

I am kind of looking at it a along term investment as well...they are beautiful too
