Milsurps / Prohib M1 Garand Thoughts

I would really like to get another M1 Garand ( had one in the 90s I had to let go, for $350). I know that no one can predict the future here but what are the odds it ends up on the list?

$3000 on a gun would be considered a decent long range build or a decent O/U shotgun... there are levels to this hobby

I dont disagree with overpriced. Ill probably just shoot my SKS for now...thanks
