Did the good ol toonie trick on the butt end of my TM22 because I was too lazy to get a washer but after a day at the range I felt something shake in the stock. Guess I have a legit washer now.

Pardon my ignorance, what's the toonie trick? I have a tm22 as well and my interest is piqued.

There is a rubber pad (you can see it behind the toonie in the pic) that gets hit by the bolt and eventually it rips and then there is nothing to stop the bolt and usually results in damaging your charging handle. If you open up your stock you'll probably see it already mangled. Reach out to Odell and they will send you a washer for it I believe.

Just a heads up O'dell doesnt handle this anymore, it goes through North Sylva now.

Provides support between buffer tube and where the butt stock threads into the receiver..I think. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Basically keeps the insert from being shreaded by the threads.

On the other side of the rubber pad it is a piece of plastic rhat the bolt slams onto at no point does the bolt slam onto metal. What it does is not allow the rubber to get mangled on the buffer tube threads.

Ive fired thousands of rounds through my tm22 after I installed a toonie between the buffer tube and bolt stop. The solution works fine and hasn't caused any issues.

+1. Also no harm to check it every couple thousand during a well-deserved rip down. Adds 5 minutes to the chore.

If by Pro you mean the non-RIA/Derya direct one, yes.

You can use a washer or a toonie/loonie.

This is an excellent way to fix a tm22. I dont understand why you think this is stupid. Ive fired thousands of rounds through my tm22 after doing this and ive never had any issues.
