Feets / Collection / My build 1 year of PAL

Post image

I quit buying because I thought my gun cabinet was at capacity, that and it seemed like it was becoming a problem. But after pulling them all out for a photo I realized I could probably squeeze one more into my current cabinet. I'm leaning towards a lever gun or a Turkish 5.56 semi auto. But open up to suggestions and bad financial decisions.

Kinda want an sks-D so I can use mags with it. Or a Russian. The Chinese ones are so small it's the entire reason I went with a FAB stock.

Buddy bought a 22 lr savage lever and I really like it. But I kinda want a bit bigger caliber for a lever. Any recommendations?

Almost bought a n4s before it was banned but I'm left handed and people said it's a good way to get spent casing to the face. If they make a left handed one i probably would go for the keltec

RPG would be sick. But I'm not sure they make a gun cabinet to accommodate lol.

I have a stoeger sxs for clays but any time I'm on intersurplus the urge is strong. Would mount it to the wall lol.

SKS d is dope, but they're Chinese too so their handguard is also a bit smaller. But the Hush Holsters stock is an awesome option that fattens up the forend nicely.

For lever guns I absolutely love my .22, it's amazing fun. It's satisfying like driving a manual transmission, it's mechanically enjoyable. 357 is a great option too since you can shoot .38 to save some money, but I really enjoyed blasting a 45/70 levergun and you could call it a camp/bear gun to justify it!

No joke RPGs used to be legal! Just the launcher tube, obviously not the explosives, but you could get a training rocket that shit a single rifle cartridge.

Nice collection, keep going!

I think the ksg is effectively ambidextrous, ejects from bottom

You had to squeeze the 3rd foot in there eh?!?

Nice stuff.

You need a precision bolt action 22. Or a pistol caliber lever action! Or both!

Personally I’d avoid Turkish 556.

PS. There’s no rule that says you have to put them in just 1 safe!

He knows my pockets are full of beef liver.

I have a 17 hmr bolt action. Bit expensive ammo wise but way more accurate imo.

Kinda torn between getting a pistol caliber lever or a 30 30 lever. Probably go with a pistol caliber since I'll hunt with the 30.06 and the 1301 for hiking/bear defense.

I almost bought an alcor today while I was at bass pro lol. Mostly cuz 5.56 is cheap now and 7.62 is getting harder to come by in bulk.

Haha yeah but if my gf sees 2 gun safes where there used to only be one she might start asking questions like "how much money have you spent on gun related stuff in the last year" and that's a question I don't want to answer.... (it's over 12k)

Lol i think the most important question here is “why are your pockets full of liver?!” Where’s the Chianti?!

On the 17. 100% agree. Those things are laser beams out to about 150!

The pistol cal levers are so much fun. Lots of ammo un the tube, relatively cheap. Accurate enough. Next to no recoil.

Fair point on the 556 vs 762.

When i got my second safe i told my girlfriend that “i had to store the ammo safely and legally!”

When i got my third and she asked why I needed 3 I took a page out of the teachings of Homer Simpson and said “I don’t wanna lie to you honey!” And walked away. We booked a trip she wanted to take the next day though…

She knows i spend allot… i put up with the shoes… she accepts the gun habits.

If your pockets aren't full of beef liver how do you expect to be the most popular guy (among dogs) on the block??

Yeah the 17 stole my heart when I was a kid. It melted so many gophers growing up lol.

And levers are just so cool. I was kinda looking at a Morrison or citadel 357 on FOC today. Both gate loading and on the cheaper side but not sure about reliability wise.

Aah so I just gotta use the old bribery route..... the most proven method to avoid uncomfortable questioning haha.

Lol very true. My dog loves me in the kitchen and has total disdain for my existence pretty much every other place.

Never prairie dogged with a 17, but i bet it’s epic. 223 id allot of fun too.

Lever reliability is pretty high in my experience. Although I haven’t shot too many cheap ones in recent years. Kinda cool how much black rail furniture is coming out for them now. I’d love to build a tactical mares leg.

The bribing works great. You already know what your lady likes I would imagine. Mine likes Yoga. So before I make a major gun purchase I get some halfmoon, lulu lemon, Bmat, and other sales lined up. When she asks questions about the gun stuff, i happen to notice a sale email on my phone. I swear i could walk in with a 105 howitzer and a half moon mat and she wouldn’t even blink.

Oh. Looks like you have a bolt action 22.

Two big toes from two different times ......and one pawesome dude

u/krayzai Mar 14 '26

Just an FYI feet is already plural so you don’t need to add an S to your tag

If you want 223/556 you can get the backland hunter elite or Alcor and these have stock kit options too

If you want 9mm u have Henry Homesteader it have nice kit too

Lever action it depends in what caliber u want in but there are quite a few nice options

1

u/Dootbooter Mar 14 '26

The backland hunter is pretty unreliable i heard? Not that the alcor is bullet proof either but if I'm gonna have a gun with reliability that's questionable I may as well get the cheaper priced one lol.

The Henry looks solid but something about a mag fed lever seems off to me. Would prefer a gate fed, mostly for the look though.

The home steader is semi auto 9mm sub gun. Not lever action. Very cool one of the last guns of its kind still legal takes 10 round Glock mags

1

u/Dootbooter Mar 19 '26

Ah yes I totally just associate Henry and levers lol.

Semi auto would be sick though.

What is 3rd from top?

1

u/Dootbooter Mar 14 '26

The tm22 with a red dot

1

u/M_R_KLYE Mar 14 '26

Slick! Looks like a fun plinker!

1

u/Dootbooter Mar 14 '26

It's pretty fun. Pretty accurate as well.

u/Due-Candidate4384 Mar 14 '26

Why buy a Beretta 1301 only to put it next to that Turkish shitnelli M4 clone? First the Turks ruin muh Constantinople, then they ruin muh favorite shotgun.

1

u/Dootbooter Mar 14 '26

Bought the turk m4 then the 1301 on impulse. The Turkish m4 has been nothing but reliable for me and kicks less than the 1301. Guys should be thankful for turkey tbh given the state of canada. They give us the alcor and cimera when all we got instead is the equally unreliable albeit more expensive backland or pitiful mra renegade

1

u/CheesecakeEasy8952 Mar 14 '26

Now only if you could have bought Handguns .

1

u/Dootbooter Mar 14 '26

Yeah..... late the party. Definitely regretting not getting it earlier

1

u/1n2uition Mar 14 '26

Dog paw gets the upvote GJ.

1

u/iridemotorcyclesfast Mar 14 '26

How do you like the savages?

1

u/Dootbooter Mar 15 '26

I'm happy with both of them. Accurate enough for what I need them for and not expensive either. The bolt isn't going to be tikka smooth but it's a third of the price and comes with a scope which is more than enough to hunt or target shoot with.

All you need is a nice pump. Keep it light unless you supply the fam with iron in dark times. Would recommen buying ammo rn
