Nice. But to be a Canadian gun owner, you need to do as below. Please be aware that 1 and 3 are non negotiable 1. Take off your socks 2. Buy the Holy trinity of guns: a .22LR, a 12G shotgun and a SKS 3. Take off your socks

The Garand is a superior replacement over the SKS. It's the more historic, higher capacity option. Also designed by a Canadian.

Why not both?

Yes. If only one, I would take the Garand. I'd still want both.

You can have two things, but the SKS is a very Canadian rifle for being a Soviet design.

They can try to ban sks but that should not stop people buying it. You will kick yourself if you don’t buy a SKS when you still can, the price is increasing everyday

this government will ban all guns in the future so no guns are safe. The new Canadian gun trinity will be your fingers, a random stick on the street and nerf blaster.

Joke aside, get a good bolt action in .308 or 6.5 Creedmoor

Then you could try a MRA Renegade MkII. I got one, it is a coped gun and very accurate:)

Cz600 is a good gun but they are getting a lot of hate these days.

Otherwise, Tikka t3X ctr in .223/5.56 will be a great choice too
