Fix my gun How to plug a Canuck hunter
I just bought this Canuck hunter 20 gauge used and it didn’t come plugged. I cannot figure out how to get the mag tube open to insert a plug. Tried prying the circle cap you see out figured as is was like other spring retainers but didn’t budge, any help is greatly appreciated.

Is that hole drilled all the way through into the mag tube? With my Mossberg Maverick that just has a hole drilled through, I just drop a wooden dowel down through the hole cut to appropriate length that blocks to 2 in the tube. When the season is over and I want to remove it, I tip the shotgun muzzle down, give it a shake until the dowel pops out of the hole, pull it out and done.
Some of my shotguns came with precut standard dowels for 5 shot magazine tubes that had some small o-rings attached to reduce shake noise, those are an optional idea if that matters, so long as it's a dowel with a diameter small enough not to have to be squeezed in, should work just fine.

It does go all the way through, I was looking for a physical plug to buy for it but worse case I’ll have to do that

To plug a Canuck hunter try taking him for dinner after he checks his traps... will be good and hungry by then, after which is anyone's guess.

If you google a disassembly guide, there should be something on the manufacturer's website or a youtube walkthrough.

Can’t really find anything on this shotgun no videos, and the only manuals they have are different guns

My friend used a cloth hanger as a plug it worked great (even checked by CO)

I used a chopstick that came with my takeout. Best part is, it comes with a spare if you cut it too short.

That’s kind of what I figured from the research I did, trying to call them to see if I can buy one cause I bought it used.

My Canuck (not a hunter) I had to remove the whole mag tube by unscrewing it off the receiver. I spent a lot of time playing with the cap like you before I realized this.

I'm not a hunter, but I am a Canuck that prefers not to be plugged. Don't let that stop you from doing your whole pluggin' thing, though.

The plug for these is a thin plastic thing that goes down that hole. At the end is aflat part that doesn't go down the hole and gets covered by that screw on cap.
So if you wanted to plug this. I'd do the same thing. A thin piece going down, with a flat piece to hold it in place
