News / Politics / Activism Some better interim news for Sask

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-kna_B132o

Looks like our province is providing some interim protections to delay the issue, maybe hold out for a more reasonable government - as I am understanding it.

Why do they keep taking about gun grabs and how they are bad, ya no shit but why is their a gun grab in the first place? Because they banned guns. The focus should be on reversing the bans and lifting the handgun freeze.

That is the focus.

The problem is that provinces have limited power to what they can do- So Sask is doing what little it can to stymie the gun grab. A sizeable majority of folks seem to be against the bans now, yet the Feds refuse to yield. I haven't seen more positive focus on gun ownership in this country in recent memory. We just need to keep truckin'.

I didnt watch the whole video but he starts off with talking about the gun grab. Its not just him. Every politician says gun grab bad but i never hear any of them say gun ban bad. I dont believe the focus is actually on reversing bans when they never even talk about it. It should be the first thing they mention in the video, not the gun grab.

I hear where you're coming from, but I figure this has to happen incrementally. Gun owners can't overplay our hand here- the good will we've built up is invaluable. I'm really hoping (perhaps naively) that this could turn into a foothold for the community to push forward. I just don't see the LPC suddenly doing a 180° and saying:

"ok, actually we were wrong. In the face of falling support for this policy we will scrap it. All OICs are hereby removed! #elbowsup"
