Considering what the street value would be selling it on jane and finch as a smuggled ak would be a lot more than the legal price im betting, its almost like they really want them to end up there.
I think they are architecting and building the largest black market in firearms that Canada has ever seen, and they know it. Can you imagine if everyone just quietly turned in 100% of everything immediately? They would be lost with nothing to b tch about
This way, they have a massive black market, which if you think about it, it actually benefits them politically. Look at that big, bad, BLACK assault-style market. It's a boogie-man, sending votes their way for ever and ever and ever
and it will only cost them a billion or so of hard earned tax payer dollars.
The other thing is that as far as I know, prohib is a prohib right? So for all the non-compliers out there with ARs and such, if you're going to keep it why not add a fun switch and yoink that silly little rivet out?
