First and foremost, this is a Canadian Gun subreddit, so keep it at least decently related to both of those things.

This thread is not for general politics, there are plenty other subs that are meant for that. Off-topic threads may be removed, especially if they are leading to personal attacks, flame wars, etc.

To prevent the main sub being flooded with dozens of similar threads, text posts complaining about/asking about/chatting about gun politics will be sent here.

We understand that politics is a touchy subject, and at times things can get heated. A reminder of the subreddit rules, when commenting, where subreddit users are expected to abide.

Keep this Canadian gun politics related and polite. Off-topic stuff, flame wars, negative generalizations against groups, personal attacks and gate-keeping will be removed. Please flag any comments to bring to the attention of mods otherwise exercise your upvoting and downvoting ability.

Well it seems that the email that went out a week or two ago scared at least a few more people into declaring. Here's to hoping we we end up with under 50k at the end of the month

Even if we saw it hit 100k, it's still abysmally low compared to the actual amount of prohibs floating around in Canada.

Not to mention the collection efficiency has yet to be seen.

On top of that, apparently the website is completely shitting the bed, locking people out and unable to even process. Resulting in people unable to comply even if they wanted to. Classic liberal bullshit, over budget and barely functional.

And as you mentioned the biggest fucking elephant in the room. COLLECTION!!! With 99% of police forces bowing out, we have to see what corrupt, embezzling barely functional plan the demented chipmunk will cobble together. Considering he can barely cobble together a coherent sentence when speaking, I cannot imagine what this guy will do.

Mark my words, if it ever launches….guns will end up in the hands of organized criminals, by jacking it or by going in with the MCU’s, I’m calling it now!
