News / Politics / Activism Recurring Canadaguns Politics and Debate Thread

Please post all your Gun Politics or Ban-related ideas, questions, initiatives, comments, suggestions, news articles, and recommendations in this thread. This thread recurs every 14 days.

First and foremost, this is a Canadian Gun subreddit, so keep it at least decently related to both of those things.

This thread is not for general politics, there are plenty other subs that are meant for that. Off-topic threads may be removed, especially if they are leading to personal attacks, flame wars, etc.

To prevent the main sub being flooded with dozens of similar threads, text posts complaining about/asking about/chatting about gun politics will be sent here.

We understand that politics is a touchy subject, and at times things can get heated. A reminder of the subreddit rules, when commenting, where subreddit users are expected to abide.

Keep this Canadian gun politics related and polite. Off-topic stuff, flame wars, negative generalizations against groups, personal attacks and gate-keeping will be removed. Please flag any comments to bring to the attention of mods otherwise exercise your upvoting and downvoting ability.

I havent looked into who the housing minister is but im assuming hes either a direct landlord eith a bunch of properties or sits on a board of directors for s company that is one of those company landlords? Like all recent housing ministers ?

Robertson was formerly the mayor of Vancouver. He was also famous for how bad things got there. Like he was one of major reasons they had a housing crisis there (keeping his rich buddies rich). He also got caught accepting 100k payout from CUPE (the government ethics probe quietly died), one of the companies he founded also got busted for fraud.

But like many Canadian politicians, they fall upward at our expense.

Holy shit seriously!??? Darn... I wish I was right then, at least that would be typical corruption but this .... this is advanced corruption.  Carney really knows how to pick em, eh? Yeah... people tend to fall upwards. Isn't there some correlation between that and the fall of nations? If not then there should be.

But hey once the Iran war is over I can get a house for 25k since thats clearly the issue with housing, as said so by him.

To quote our favourite public safety minister.

Don't ask me to explain the logic.
