First and foremost, this is a Canadian Gun subreddit, so keep it at least decently related to both of those things.

This thread is not for general politics, there are plenty other subs that are meant for that. Off-topic threads may be removed, especially if they are leading to personal attacks, flame wars, etc.

To prevent the main sub being flooded with dozens of similar threads, text posts complaining about/asking about/chatting about gun politics will be sent here.

We understand that politics is a touchy subject, and at times things can get heated. A reminder of the subreddit rules, when commenting, where subreddit users are expected to abide.

Keep this Canadian gun politics related and polite. Off-topic stuff, flame wars, negative generalizations against groups, personal attacks and gate-keeping will be removed. Please flag any comments to bring to the attention of mods otherwise exercise your upvoting and downvoting ability.

Liberal will likely get the majority they want after the three by elections. I am wondering what will happen to us. They will pass some bills against us? Forced buy back? Anything worse for us?

Even with a majority, how will the execute the program?

The same problems that exist for the program now when they're a pseudo majority still exist for them as a true majority. (Execution, logistics, getting cops to buy into the program, getting owners to buy into the program, the significant man power requirements, administrative issues etc.). You have to remember this is the same government that can't even get a functional payroll system going. They can't even claw back COVID benefits despite people literally self doxxing to the highest degree with those.

It's more likely they'll maintain the wedge issue, throw in some OIC bans when they need media coverage and keep the can rolling down the road.

What’s even left to OIC at this point? I have a feeling they don’t want to add more to there plate. As the more they add the more non compliance numbers will increase. I think at this point they will just keep up what’s been banned and keep kicking the can down the road and claim it being a ‘messaging.’ Issue.

Tactical sks. Made almost century ago. 

Well, manitoba has a bill to restrict machete. They will come up things to ban and restrict liberty and freedom.
