News / Politics / Activism Recurring Canadaguns Politics and Debate Thread

Please post all your Gun Politics or Ban-related ideas, questions, initiatives, comments, suggestions, news articles, and recommendations in this thread. This thread recurs every 14 days.

First and foremost, this is a Canadian Gun subreddit, so keep it at least decently related to both of those things.

This thread is not for general politics, there are plenty other subs that are meant for that. Off-topic threads may be removed, especially if they are leading to personal attacks, flame wars, etc.

To prevent the main sub being flooded with dozens of similar threads, text posts complaining about/asking about/chatting about gun politics will be sent here.

We understand that politics is a touchy subject, and at times things can get heated. A reminder of the subreddit rules, when commenting, where subreddit users are expected to abide.

Keep this Canadian gun politics related and polite. Off-topic stuff, flame wars, negative generalizations against groups, personal attacks and gate-keeping will be removed. Please flag any comments to bring to the attention of mods otherwise exercise your upvoting and downvoting ability.

Kinda insane the LPC is getting even more popular as of recently despite them doing fuck all for the average Canadian. This country is fucking hopeless at this point. Yes, you and I suffer from the loss of property rights but I hope this comes to bite all the boomers and the ABC voters in the ass hard eventually when their pocketbooks aren't looking so great. To be fair, our pocketbooks won't be looking great either, but at least we can say that we told them so.

The ironic thing is they're apparently cutting some funding to the CBC when a big part of their campaign was putting more funds into it.

Yep but as I've said many a time before and why I'm an ABL voter. The Liberal party of Canada has no principles they aren't pragmatic they don't' value anything besides winning. They will backtrack and screw over the common people if it means a slight bump in polls because they don't give a shit about the people of Canada.

Don't forget climate change! That somehow seems to have been hitting this particular country especially hard

I welcome some climate change. I want my winters to look more like Florida. Gonna go idle my truck for a few hours. Maybe it'll warm the world up a bit more.

Did you hear Carney announced $150 million in scholarships for Indian students while visiting Modi?  They dropped the apprenticeship grant last year, so fuck out own Canadian tradesmen, let's give the money to Indians to come on student visas instead! eLboZe uP gUyz!!!!
