First and foremost, this is a Canadian Gun subreddit, so keep it at least decently related to both of those things.

This thread is not for general politics, there are plenty other subs that are meant for that. Off-topic threads may be removed, especially if they are leading to personal attacks, flame wars, etc.

To prevent the main sub being flooded with dozens of similar threads, text posts complaining about/asking about/chatting about gun politics will be sent here.

We understand that politics is a touchy subject, and at times things can get heated. A reminder of the subreddit rules, when commenting, where subreddit users are expected to abide.

Keep this Canadian gun politics related and polite. Off-topic stuff, flame wars, negative generalizations against groups, personal attacks and gate-keeping will be removed. Please flag any comments to bring to the attention of mods otherwise exercise your upvoting and downvoting ability.

We’re now in the final stretch of the declaration period, hold strong folks!

The mobile collection units do not exist and represent a massive liability for demented chipmunk. Off duty and retired cops simply will not take this risk on while guaranteed to not be paid benefits should anything happen.

5,000 people attended the CCFR Quebec rally and the QC public safety minister is now distancing himself.

Every police force in about 90% of the country has now refused to participate making the logistics of this program near impossible.

BC already issued a memo to demented chipmunk saying we want to do this but we won’t be ready for October.

We’re winning this! Stay strong everyone!

I agree but we have also said this a billion times of "we've almost won this!" Remember when it was C-whatever the fuck a few years ago, we won that and then they just changed the rules of the game by OIC-ing it all, and I can probably think of another dozen cope "almost there to victory!" Moments on this sub that lead to more issues.

Not trying to ruin the moment and I really do hope we win but... look into the history.  They have more ways to make ourselves miserable.

If we weren’t winning it wouldn’t have taken them 6 years to build a website.

We’re entering the enforcement phase and 90% of all police forces have said no. This is what we needed.
