Why do conservative Canadians hate the idea of defending our sovereignty by supporting our own economy...?

"Elbows up" is not logically consistent with a multi-billion dollar gun ban targeting only legal gun owners.

Elbows up is about protecting our country from economic attacks that aim to weaken our sovereignty.

It has no relation to the gunban or waste of tax payer dollars...

"Elbows Up" included military and guerrilla style rhetoric about driving off any American invasion of Canada, and to pretend otherwise or deny it is disingenuous.

Furthermore, "Elbows Up" itself may have no direct relation to the gun ban, but given that the Liberals campaigned on the slogan while also campaigning on the gun ban, any one with two brain cells can spot the rational incongruency. Except you, apparently.

There has been minimal serious discussion or effort into preparing for American military invasion of Canada.

Also given the conservative support for 51st state concept I'm not sure how you think civilian gun ownership by primarily conservatives will exactly help...

Campaigning on protecting canadas economic sovereignty and on banning specific firearms by model don't make the two subjects somehow related...

So minimal that there was talk about training 250,000 public service workers on military equipment lol. You can argue that it (the fight the invasion rhetoric) wasn't super serious, but it wasn't minimal, and "Elbows Up" wasn't super serious either.
