Buy recommendations Poll: Need a .223 to burn ammo
I know one is a bolt action and the other is a straight pull, both would get a new AR Magpul stock / and buffer tube for the CZ, and both would get the LPVO treatment. Just looking at hitting steel in the 100-200 yard range, with some closer (50 yards and in) target shooting. Built quality and reliability is important to me. I have .223 ammo but no longer anything to shoot with so one of these would be it. Both rifles are basically the same price.

This is going to probably get down voted but here's 4 options that may be better Ruger American ranch gen 2 or patrol, Howa mini in a MDT chassis ,Tikka varmint or CTR, A lever in 223 here's looking at you henry. I know you want a short barrel gun but both those options are overall really mediocre. There's a lot of other options to explore
