This just goes to show all the shit smuggled in from the USA. Yet they going after the firearms locked in safes in secured homes owned by licensed and vetted people. What a backwards thinking inept Government… smfh

They know well and good that this will have no positive effect on gun related crimes or violence. They want to disarm us entirely just like Australia just like England same formula.

As far as I’ve read, centerfire semi auto anything is prohibited in England as well. The only thing they can get is a rimfire ar15’s like the M&P22. I also heard getting a FAC firearms license is very difficult. But yeah suppressors are considered PPE in England which is better.

their ARs are straightpull or 22lr only. and their pistols have extremely long barrels and metal protrusions on the rear. the only reason to get a “pistol” in the UK is because youre a gun collector and really enjoy the operating systems

they don't give a shit about actually affecting gun crime. They very much give a shit about appearing to affect gun crime. Very different things. One is easy and highly visible. The other is slightly harder, and largely invisible. Guess which option the politicians like?

This. 1000000% this.

I've always said, we share the world's longest undefended border with the world's largest arms manufacturer. With that, we will never stop the flow of illegal guns. Ever. Period.

The government can definitely do more to curb the flow, which will actually have positive affects on gun crime here, but like you said that's difficult and takes lots of effort and money, so naturally it'll never happen.

Anything for power. Anything for votes. Sacrifice one voter group for a larger, misinformed one.

You can order these off AliExpress, and like 7/10 times it won't get caught by the people inspecting the parcels.

They are really terrible at inspecting parcels.

How else do you expect them to be able to control all of us? Take away our ability to stand up to them. Look at what happened the last time people tried with the truck protest…. The locked up peoples bank accounts.

Gary told his renter not to comply. It would be discriminatory of Gary if he didn’t mean that for all citizens.

I would bet 1000 dollars this came in the mail from China or Taiwan, rather than being smuggled from the states. Don’t mistake that as a defence of the US or downplaying of the gun smuggling problem.

The Lifecard is made in the US, so I'm not sure how it'd be flying in from China.

This isn’t a real lifecard

it’s one of these

Aye, you're right. Its a pretty distinctive silhouette, and clearly copied from the original (including the American flag), but looking a bit closer at the logo it doesn't match up.

Yea, if you look at the “ammunition” in the photo it is clearly one of these toy versions from china.

I wonder if the cops don’t realize? Still probably illegal carried as such as it would be a replica firearm in that case - but the article makes it seem like they think it’s a real lifecard.

Among those things smuggled are high capacity magazines ... And stupidly for decades fully functional highcap mags with an easily removed pin were sold in Canada for dumb vanity reasons.

So now being impossible to stop the magazines from coming up and impossible to get them out of circulation.. the only real course was to prohibit anything they fit in..

UNFORTUNATELY dumb non-firearms owners just went insane and started banning a wide range of things that didn't make sense.

Anti-material rifles? Ok. There was a loud voice of "just shoot him through the walls" after the last attempt on the prime minister's life (armed reservist with truck crash into residence)

Anything that takes an AR or AK mag.. ok (pragmatic) ... Could have at least had an optional rule for California mags attached to keep non-restricted.

Random firearms that don't? ... Yeah they got dumb with it.
