I have absolutely no intention of forfeiting my working AR15 to the state.

That being said, if it comes down to the wire and they start leaning on us even harder as October 30 approaches, are they expecting to steal intact, working rifles?

Because I have a chop saw, and will cut my rifle into pieces and bring the scraps in a bag to the cop shop. Because fuck ’em is why.

Being the dickhead statists they are, you would probably have to make sure that the scraps have a “trigger lock” and are enclosed in a locked hard sided container.

Any thoughts?

Tbh, no risk is worth a possible 10 years in jail.

I’ll hold on alongside everyone else. When October of this year comes along, i’ll probably just get my shit deactivated.

I'm too lazy to look it up but the way I remember it the Liberals have been changing the laws to increase the punishments for paper crimes such as the ones being discussed here, while decreasing the punishments for violent crimes. Just sayin'

Iirc it’s “up to 10 years” so it’s definitely possible.

Nonetheless, I don’t wanna chance it, I’d prefer the ability to Kick rocks on the beaches of Gambia, then loosing X amount of years of the only life I have, because the Liberals & some dumb old hag wanna criminalize me, a law abiding citizen.

Detention centres are filled just as much as actual jails are. The court system is phoney bologna.

So it doesn’t seem like they’ll decide jail time for everyone. Besides many police stations have said they aren’t going to participate.

I honestly, just want peace of mind . Life is difficult as it is.

Some people are down voting anything that doesn't suggest non-compliance right now. I doubt most are actually willing to go to prison over this if push comes to shove. It sucks, but it's not worth ruining your life over.

The lawyers fees themselves aren’t worth the hassle.

Let’s say $7K on a lawyer to fight the stupid charges…

$7K alone can pay off my student loans, That could take me across the globe for a month on a work sabbatical.

I’m non compliant until it’s genuine jail.

My family have been in Canada since the 1700’s. I love this country, snow ball fights, some classic maple syrup, some delicious corn from the Reesor farm.
