Does the 180 platform use standard AR barrels? Looking into building a 7.62x39 Raven since I’ve found a bolt. Can only find barrels mentioning the 180, so trying to clarify.

Yes, it uses a standard ar15 barrel, standard ar15 gas block and gas tube. Standard ar15 bolt (not carrier just bolt)

Everything else is also standard ar15 parts the only non ar15 interchangeable parts are the receivers, bolt carrier, and charging handle.

The raven also isint an ar180 platform, its its own platform closer to an ar15

I know that. It’s why I wasn’t asking about wether an AR barrel would fit the Raven. I already own one and am look to build a second upper.

I’ve just seen barrels listed as “WK180” that are in the caliber I’m wanting. I wanted some clarification before I started buying anything.

ohh I see, yes a wk180 barrel should be an ar15 barrel, they are the same.

They'll tend to be carbine-length gas. Not a showstopper but will be a little rougher cycling. You might research building 7.62x39 ARs and gas/cycling considerations.

Ah see, I didn’t think there’s be an issue with gassing the system at all. Mind you I did plan on running an adjustable gas block regardless.
