Bizarre, my friend applied online Feb 13 and still haven't heard anything at all. Online just said "initial processing complete" etc etc. Who'd you email?

I emailed "cfoon@cfp-pcaf.ca". Told them the date I applied and my application code. And that I was emailing bc I was concerned about any missing info that might be delaying the approval (I knew I missed nothing).

Thanks! I'll let my friend know. Hopefully they don't flag her with her luck lol

How long did it take them to get back to you? Did the same last friday but haven’t heard back.

I was quite surprised that I got a reply in 2 days. My first email to them after my first month of waiting took a week to get a response though. They responded to that one with a "might take up to 6 months." 🥲

Ah, I see. Did your first email have the same contents as the second?

I am going to call tomorrow as it’s the 47th day since applying and they haven’t replied to my monday email.

Nah. The first one just asked what the average wait time was.

I suggest calling as early as you can. Any time after lunch and you'll just get hung up on.

Ah, thanks. Well then, I guess there is hope in just being a little insistent. Beyond annoyed with all of this.

When you say “emailing did the trick”, do you mean to say that they replied to your email and told you that your PAL has been approved? And how long did it take them to issue your card and send it? Thank you!

I checked the online status page at least once a day. It said the same thing earlier that day until I recieved their response around noon which then the online status changed to issued. It took 2.5 weeks for the card to be in my hands.

Thank you for replying! Sorry for asking again, but what was their email reply? Was it that your card was issued?

Their email said "Your application has been approved. The license will be shipped via Canada Post within 4-6 weeks".
